Saga on a Personal Note

10 December, 2019

Today is an exciting day for all of us at Saga. It has been two years in the making and is the result of the collective efforts of a team of dedicated and passionate thinkers and doers. Today marks the launch of the SGA token, the currency which sits at the heart of Saga’s vision.

The essence of Saga is a vision of a fairer world, of currency which empowers its holders with the power to govern monetary policy decisions. It transcends borders and blends a global, democratic approach with the transparency and assurance of action, that technology provides. This vision is the thread which ties all the components of Saga together — from the governance framework to the monetary model and the smart contract which underpins the ecosystem.

I have the privilege of working with leading minds in the fields of economics, politics, and technology, each of whom has interrogated and examined the Saga project. Each of their challenges has tempered our offering and ultimately prepared it for real-world applicability, which is what is happening today.

Along with those who have thoughtfully challenged Saga, I would like to express my greatest thanks to the team who have created, built and driven Saga to this point. To the Saga team: thank you — without you, there would be no Saga today.

Lastly, I would like to thank all of you who have supported Saga on its journey to launch. A project of this size and technicality is not built purely on meticulous modelling, reason and hard work — it is built on the belief of our team and our partners. Their decision to believe in, and support, Saga has been crucial. Today, our vision bears its fruit.

Today is day one of Saga in the real world. It is only the beginning, I look forward to what Saga’s coming years hold for us all and to you continuing with us on this journey.

With thanks,

Ido Sadeh Man

Founder and Chairman of Saga
